2013 Memories on the Back 20:

At a symposium at Harvard, Bill Gates admitted to one of his mistakes when developing Windows.  Ctrl-Alt-Delete.  He wanted a 1-button system to begin logging on, but the IBM keyboard developer wouldn’t let that happen.

Ctrl-Alt-Delete was supposed to be used to prevent a hacker’s fake screen from imitating Windows startup and catching users unaware when they typed in their password.  That was a much needed feature because according to HobbyLark.com, the top 5 passwords of 2013 included 123456, password, and qwerty.  In other words, hacker BAIT!
