1999 Memories on the Back 20:

The Sixth Sense was the movie that had people saying NO SPOILERS the loudest.  Written and directed by M. Night Shyamalan, it starred Bruce Willis and child star Haley Joel Osmont in what is considered his breakout roll, for which he received one of the 6 Academy Awards  nominations the movie would get.

Home Improvment ended after 8 seasons.  It was the show about a show, starring comedian Tim Allen as a family man and the host of a fictional TV show called Tool Time— even though he never had a great time with his tools, only many, many accidents.
