ANCHORAGE, Alaska (AP) – Anchorage police have arrested five people who are suspected of helping two murder suspects escape capture.

Police say investigators determined the five helped 19-year-old Mickee Thompson and 18-year-old Robert Smith elude authorities for three weeks.

The teenagers were wanted in the shooting death of Sosaia Finau on April 12. They were arrested May 3.

The five are charged with a felony, first-degree hindering prosecution.

They include 42-year-old Mandy Premo, 32-year-old Randi Premo, 37-year-old Tabitha Mattie, 37-year-old Jude Andrews and 33-year-old Anna Andrews.

The five turned themselves in to police Wednesday. All five remained jailed Thursday morning.

Bail for each person was set at $5,000. Online court records to not list their attorneys.
