A Deep Sinkhole Surprises Anchorage Commuters

Morning commuters discovered a big problem as they drove over it.  It wasn’t your average pot hole we see in Anchorage this time of year.  This one turned into a 4 foot wide and 20 feet deep sinkhole on Benson Blvd.    Authorities don’t know the cause of the hole and they say it might not be fixed until as late as Tuesday May 29th.  Police have closed  the far left lane of eastbound Benson Boulevard near the intersection of Minnesota Drive.
