KBEAR is proud of Service High Grad Jeff Overbaugh!  He has been picked up by the Minnesota Vikings.  You might have seen him snapping the ball during the game.

Jeff is part of a growing list of Alaskans that have made it to the NFL.  Names like Steve Smith, former defensive back Zackary Bowman, both from Anchorage, and former tackle Daryn Colledge, whose hometown is Fairbanks.

On the Vikings website, they said he’s the only Viking player that have slept with bears.  They aren’t talking about the Chicago Bears by the way.

Among those who called Service High School their alma mater are New York Rangers forward Brandon Dubinsky, three-time Super Bowl champion and current analyst Mark Schlereth, and three-time U.S. Olympian Jeremy Teela.

Go Overbaugh!  We’re cheering for you.  Go Vikings!
