BRUCE WILLIS RETIRING FOR MEDICAL REASONS

Bruce Willis’ family has announced he is stepping away from acting due to a medical condition. They released a statement about his condition.

“The condition is called, aphasia  It is a disorder caused by damage to a specific area of the area that impacts cognitive abilities. With much consideration Bruce is stepping away from the career that has meant so much to him. This is a really challenging time for our family and we are so appreciative of your continued love, compassion and support. We are moving through this as a strong family unit and wanted to bring his fans in because we know how much he means to you, as you do him.”

Aphasia is a disorder that can affect communication skills, including the ability to speak and understand verbal and written language.  However, there are no details at this time concerning how the condition is specifically affecting Bruce.  For more info, here is a link to the Mayo Clinic.
