D.C. Weatherman Calls His Kids with Tornado Warning During Live Newscast

A Washington D.C. weatherman was doing his job, but he also took care of his priorities at the same time.  NBC Storm Team4 Chief Meteorologist Doug Kammerer called his own kids during a live broadcast to warn them, calmly but urgently– as he zoomed in on the map and saw his own home could be in the track of the tornado.

That’s not only heart warming, but it’s brilliant too, in my opinion. It showed viewers just how serious the situation was to him.  He kept a very cool head too, another example of what to do during dangerous weather.   Don’t know if I could have remained that calm in his shoes.
