Military Families Affected By The Government Shutdown Qualify For Emergency Assistance From The ASYMCA

In response to the ongoing government shutdown, the Armed Services YMCA of Alaska has made the decision to extend access to our Food Pantries to any individuals or families who are subject to furlough or work without pay, and have military installation access. We will continue to offer emergency Food Pantry access to affected individuals and families, regardless of military affiliation or duty status, for the duration of the shutdown. Below is a quick reference to help determine ASYMCA Food Pantry eligibility:

Regular Eligibility:
Active Duty, guard, and reserve service members and their dependents

Emergency Eligibility for Government Employees
Any federal employee furloughed or working without pay
Must be able to access military installation
Prior or current military service is not required
