For more than four decades, Seawolf Hockey at UAA has been a staple of our local community.
It’s also been an amazing place to develop hockey talent from around the world.
The program is now at a crossroads.
Seawolf hockey has to raise $3 million to fund operations for at least two seasons.
Fans have stepped up to raise $2 million but they have a $million more to go by the end of August.
You can help with Subway Sundays – Subway will donate 10% of sales every Sunday to help save the hockey program.
This offer is good at all Subway locations in Anchorage, Eagle River and Girdwood.
But there’s a catch – you have to print off the flier and bring it to the restaurant with you – every Sunday this April.
Print fliers from SaveSeawolfHockey.com (and/or radio station website?).
The loss of this program would impact current players, but also youth hockey programs and camps in the Anchorage and greater Alaska community.
So get out there, get a sandwich, present the flier and help Save Seawolf Hockey.
