Steve “DJ Lefty” Franklin

Steve Franklin (aka DJ LEFTY) was born and raised in Phoenix, AZ.  He attended High School in Houston, Texas and moved to Anchorage, Alaska in 1987.  At the age of ten, he knew he wanted to work in radio.  Steve has worked as an on air personality for more than 20 years.  Steve has 2 boys and has re-married.  When he is not on KBEAR, he works as a club DJ at various nightclubs in Anchorage.  He was voted “Best Live Local DJ” in 2010 by the Anchorage Press.   Steve also runs a mobile DJ company specializing in weddings, school dances, and corporate functions.
