2020 Anchorage Remembers: Memorial Day Ceremony

Anchorage, ALASKA –The City of Anchorage has cancelled the 2020 Memorial Day Ceremony originally scheduled for Monday, May 25, at the Delaney Park Strip veterans memorial. Cancellation is due to ongoing COVID-19 public health concerns associated with large gatherings. The annual ceremony typically draws 500-700 people to honor the fallen. People are asked to take precautions if they pay tribute individually at the memorial during the holiday weekend.
