NAUKATI, Alaska (AP) – A southeast Alaska man has been charged with manslaughter and driving under the influence in the death of his girlfriend.

Alaska State Troopers say 44-year-old George Huffine of Klawock is charged in the death of 26-year-old Trinity Kriener.

Online court documents do not list Huffine’s attorney.

Troopers on Prince of Wales Island say the two Tuesday night were driving in Huffine’s pickup north of Naukati Bay.

Huffine told troopers they were arguing and Kriener leaped out of the truck.

Kriener was run over by the rear tires of the pickup.

She was pronounced dead on the way to the Klawock Clinic.

The state medical examiner will conduct an autopsy.
